If you haven’t heard, Can’t Hold Me Back was one of 25 shorts to comprise PBS’s 2013 Online Film Festival. The festival provided a long-awaited chance to share with the world the story of this film. Check out some of the press clippings.

8PM Doors open
The night is hosted by our young and gifted, Syreeta Gates, editor of Just Because, a book inspiring the next generation of change makers and DJ Lil Tiger holding it down on the 1&2s.

8:45pm Screening of My Africa Is, directed by Nosa Garrick, an online multi-media platform that identifies and explores the African continent by profiling innovators living & thriving on the continent.

9:00 Screening of Triggering Wounds, winner of the best youth produced documentary at the Tribeca Film Festival. The film was directed and produced by students in The Maysles Institute Teen Producers Academy and featured in The NY Times and Daily News.

9:30pm Spoken word performance

9:50pm Dream Circle perform songs from their debut album,”Lost Art”. The bands spiritualized electronic music is inspired by world music, classic hip-hop & 70′s psychedelia. http://dreamcirclemusic.com/.
